Yural Privacy Policy

Yural: Fitness & Habits helps you understand your health and fitness context, plan healthier actions, build routines and goals, and review progress across your Apple devices.

This policy explains how Yural handles information in the app.

1. Summary

Yural is built around your control and privacy. Health data is sensitive, and Yural treats it with the highest care.

Yural works with Apple Health only if you give permission. You choose which Apple Health categories Yural can access. Yural uses that information to provide features such as metrics, scores, workout review, planning, recommendations, routines, goals, challenges, and progress feedback.

Yural does not require a Yural account. You can use the app locally on your Apple device without creating any additional account.

HealthKit-derived metrics stay on your device by default. If you choose to make selected health and fitness context available on your own paired Mac or iPad, Yural uses a temporary end-to-end encrypted transfer.

HealthKit-derived metrics are not stored in iCloud or CloudKit. App-created content, such as notes, preferences and activities, is separate from HealthKit-derived metrics and may use different storage and synchronization features.

For optional paired-device transfer, health context is encrypted before it leaves your device. Only your own paired devices can read the transferred information.

Yural does not sell your personal information or use Apple Health data for third-party advertising.

2. Information You Choose To Provide

Yural may store information you create or set up in the app, such as:

  • Goals, routines, challenges, and planned activities.
  • User-defined metrics and habit entries.
  • Preferences, selected sports, objectives, reminders, and app settings.
  • Notes, saved links, article references, and personal knowledge content.
  • App settings related to privacy, synchronization, and personalization.

Yural uses this information to provide app features, personalize your experience, and help you follow your plans and progress. Storage and synchronization of app-created information depend on the features you enable. These records are distinct from HealthKit-derived metrics; the health-data transfer rules below should not be read as a blanket description of every app-created record.

3. Apple Health Information

Yural can read selected Apple Health information only after you allow it in Apple's Health permission system.

Depending on the permissions you choose, Yural may use health and activity information such as workouts, steps, active energy, stand minutes, sleep, heart-related metrics, and other supported HealthKit data to provide:

  • Health, activity, sleep, readiness, and fitness context.
  • Metrics and trends.
  • Workout review and sport progress.
  • Planning support and recommendations.
  • Progress summaries and feedback over time.

You can change Apple Health permissions at any time in Apple settings. If you remove permission for a category, Yural will no longer be able to access that category from Apple Health.

Yural does not own your Apple Health data. You control access through Apple settings.

4. Local App Data

Yural is designed so the core experience can work in the app on your device. Health, activity, workout, habit, planning, and knowledge context is used to provide Yural's features inside the app.

HealthKit-derived metrics are calculated and used locally by default. Optional transfer to your own paired devices uses a temporary delivery service for encrypted data, rather than long-term cloud storage of those metrics.

5. Optional Encrypted Health-Data Transfer

If you enable paired-device transfer, the sending iOS device encrypts selected health and fitness context before upload. Your paired receiving device downloads and decrypts it. The delivery service keeps the encrypted payload only as long as needed to complete the exchange.

This description concerns HealthKit-derived context. App-created information such as Targets, Challenges, preferences, notes and links has separate storage and synchronization behavior.

Health-data transfer is optional. HealthKit-derived metrics are not stored in iCloud or CloudKit. The temporary delivery path is used to exchange encrypted context between your own paired devices, not to sell health data or use it for advertising.

6. AI Features

Yural uses local Apple Foundation Models to provide explanations, summaries, recommendations, or visual chat responses inside the app.

These AI features use local Apple Foundation Models where available. Optional transfer of health context between your own devices follows the encrypted transfer model above; it is separate from local AI processing.

Yural does not send health data to an external AI service.

Examples may include:

  • Article summaries.
  • Consider Now recommendations.
  • Sleep or workout assessments.
  • Workout-type statistics explanations.
  • Weekly or periodic report explanations.
  • Mac visual chat responses grounded in app context.

AI features may depend on your device, operating system, language, region, and Apple feature availability.

7. Consent And User Control

Yural does not access Apple Health data unless you grant permission.

Yural uses optional paired-device health-data transfer only when you enable it.

Yural does not share your Apple Health data with external third-party health data services.

Yural does not sell your personal information or use Apple Health data for advertising.

For optional health-data transfer, encrypted context passes through a temporary delivery service and can only be read by your own paired devices.

8. Sharing Information

Yural does not sell your personal information.

Yural does not share Apple Health data with external third-party health data services.

Optional health-data transfer uses a delivery service that handles the encrypted payload for delivery between your own paired devices. It is not a third-party health data product. Shared Challenges are a separate, deliberate sharing feature with people you know.

Yural may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Yural, or others.

9. Data Retention

Yural keeps app data for as long as needed to provide the app experience or until you delete it, disable related features, or remove app data according to available device, app, or Apple account controls.

10. Your Choices

You can control your information in several ways:

  • Manage Apple Health permissions in Apple settings.
  • Choose whether to enable paired-device health-data transfer.
  • Edit or delete app-created content where the app provides controls.
  • Delete the app from your device.
  • Delete app data using available app, device, or Apple account controls.
  • Contact Yural about privacy questions or support requests.

If you contact Yural for support or privacy questions, Yural uses the information you choose to provide only to respond to your request.

12. Children

Yural is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law for health and fitness app use without parental consent. If Yural collects information from a child in a way that requires parental consent, Yural will take appropriate steps to delete or handle that information according to applicable law.

13. Changes To This Policy

Yural may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. If there are material changes, Yural will update the policy and, where appropriate, provide notice through the app or the App Store.

Website analytics

This section concerns this public website, separately from health information in the Yural app.

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand website visits, pages viewed and clicks on links to the App Store. Google Analytics is not loaded before you allow it. You can reject analytics and continue using the website, or change your choice at any time through Privacy choices in the footer.

Analytics may process browser and device information, page views and referral information. We remove URL query strings from the page and referral URLs sent by our code. Our App Store click event contains the website page path and the position of the link, not personal app information. We do not send Apple Health data, app records, names, email addresses or article-search text. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled, and automatic enhanced measurement is off.

Your analytics choice is remembered in your browser for up to six months. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics cookies may be stored for up to six months. Rejecting analytics later disables further measurement on the next page load and removes the first-party Analytics cookies that this website can access.
