Agree what the challenge measures

A Challenge has a required objective and a start and end. Choose a supported system metric and decide whether the result is one measurement or the total over the period. Those are different kinds of challenge.

  • A period total adds up eligible measurements, such as steps or running distance.
  • A single-measurement objective focuses on a session or day result.
  • Participants should understand the same metric, unit and counting rule.

Keep friendly competition useful

Agree an objective that makes sense for the people taking part. Check differences in devices, data coverage and available time before treating scores as directly comparable. Shared progress can provide encouragement without making every activity a race.

Challenges are designed for sharing with people you know. Do not assume a public global leaderboard, race timing service or corporate competition platform.

Connect motivation to follow-through

Use the end date to make progress review concrete. Keep planning the activities that contribute to the objective, then review the recorded progress during the challenge. A challenge supplies a shared reason to act; it does not guarantee a health or performance outcome.

Yural’s plans distinguish creating challenges from joining an invitation. Check the current app for access and sharing details.

Questions

Can a challenge be shared?

Yes. Challenges support shared participation with people you know. Repeating Targets are personal rather than shared.

Does every metric work in a challenge?

No. Challenges use a curated set of system metrics. Personal user-defined metrics are available for suitable Repeating Targets instead.
