Running programs shaped around your objective

A running Program organizes a sequence of sessions over time. Choose the purpose first, then a schedule that reflects your current running and the weeks you have available.

Five reasons to follow a program

Programs use phases, scheduled sessions and checkpoints to connect your starting point with an objective. Dedicated Programs currently focus on running.

  • Start Running: build toward a comfortable continuous run.
  • Complete a Distance: prepare to complete a selected running distance.
  • Improve Race Performance: work toward a realistic time at a distance you already run.
  • Build Endurance: develop sustainable running volume and stamina.
  • General Running Fitness: establish regular running without a race objective.

Start from your current training

Program setup includes a start date, length, level and weekly running frequency. The program model uses at least three runs per week and adjusts its limits to the program and runner. A current long run and recent volume help establish a viable starting point.

Programs emphasize easy running, phased progression, recovery periods and checkpoints. A requested race time is an objective to assess, not a promised result. The app may constrain an unrealistic request.

Review sessions as well as the finish line

Use scheduled-session completion alongside workout history and sport progress. Checkpoints provide a moment to review the objective and the next phase. Race performance and friendly Challenges are separate: one organizes training; the other measures a fixed-period objective.

Structured running Programs are available with Plus. Version 2.0 introduces Programs; check your platform and installed version for access.
